The Department of Surgery offers specialist services in the field of Urology run by a consultant urologist.

A thrice weekly urology consultation clinic holds every Monday, Thursday Wednesday and special on demand urology consultations can be arranged on other days. The spectrum of this very busy clinic spans prostate diseases, kidney stones, male infertility and congenital defects in the urinary tract. Counselling services and several therapies for male sexual dysfunctions such as premature ejaculation and erectile dysfunction are often part of the activities at this clinic.

routine open urology surgical procedures, 

TURP (Transurethral Resection of the Prostate) for Prostate enlargement,

TURBT for bladder tumours, 

Visual Internal Urethrotomy (VIU) for urethral strictures, 

cystoscopy and ureteroscopy to examine the urinary tract.

Complex reconstructive Urology surgeries including Urethroplasty in patients with Urethral stricture and Pyeloplasty for obstructed kidneys are routinely carried out.

Operations for Kidney stones (Pyelolithotomy) and various urologic cancers eg Prostate cancer, kidney cancer and testicular cancers are all available at our facility.

We also provide screening services for Prostate cancer and Evaluation of Male factor infertility.
