Headed by an orthopaedic and trauma surgeon with several trained Medical Officers to assist. The entire care of patient handled by this unit is consultant-led, with all forms of acute musculoskeletal injuries seen directly on a presentation by the orthopaedic surgeon and decision on the care taken immediately, fractures can be fixed at presentation if indicated and the patient’s consents.

Fracture management of all kinds using latest state of the art equipment- unit is fully equipped with a functional fluoroscopy in operating theatre and a traction table, fracture fixation utilising DHS/DCS, interlocked nails for various long bone fractures, locking compression plates, etc
