Our geriatric care focus on the complex medical condition associated with the aging process. These is not limited to wear and tears of joint compartment, also multiple medical diagnoses, mobility and balance impairments, social and emotional need, psychosocial issues and challenges in independent living. Fall is a leading cause of serious musculoskeletal injury which in return altered quality of life in elderly and increase the frequent of hospital visit and the cost implication of such visit. Our major focuses of management are coordination in balance and mobility. These can be restored through guided exercise to strengthen muscle, improve joint range of motion and balance training to ease transfer and walking and recommendations of assistive devices such as walkers and canes.
