Our General Fitness for Work Medicals typically involves a comprehensive evaluation of an individual’s overall health and fitness to perform specific job duties safely and effectively. This assessment aims to identify any health conditions or limitations that may impact an individual’s ability to carry out their job responsibilities.

The testing process may include:

  1. Medical history review: As part of the assessment, the individual will be asked to provide information about their medical history, previous illnesses or injuries, and any current medical conditions or treatments.

  1. Physical examination: A thorough physical examination will be conducted by a healthcare professional to assess the individual’s overall health and physical fitness. This examination may include measurements such as blood pressure, heart rate, lung function tests, and musculoskeletal assessments.

  1. Laboratory tests: Depending on the nature of the job and potential health risks involved, specific laboratory tests may be performed. These tests can include blood tests to check for conditions such as diabetes, cholesterol levels, liver and kidney function, and drug or alcohol screening. ( FBS&RBS, LFT,E/U/Cr,LFT)
    1. Vision and hearing tests: Visual acuity and color vision tests may be conducted to ensure the individual has adequate vision for their job requirements. Additionally, an audiometry test may be performed to assess the individual’s hearing ability.
    1. Functional assessments: For certain occupations that require physical exertion or specific skills, functional assessments may be conducted. These tests can evaluate an individual’s strength, flexibility, coordination, or ability to carry out tasks related to their job.

Based on the results of these tests, recommendations may be provided to both the individual and their employer regarding any necessary accommodations, restrictions, or follow-up medical care that may be required to ensure the individual can safely perform their job duties.
