Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT)

At BAMFAK PHYSIOTHERAPY we manage CDT using Enraf Nonius ENDOPRESS unit to manage lymphedema (swelling that occurs because of a problem in the lymph system) for both upper and lower limbs. There are four parts to this therapy:

Skin care

Manual lymph drainage

Compression therapy

 Lymphedema

Lymphedema occurs when thick, protein-rich fluid called lymph builds up because of a problem with the lymph vessels or nodes. This causes swelling, usually in the arm or leg. Children may be born with a condition that can cause lymphedema, such as problems with how their lymph system are formed or lymphedema may develop later because part of the lymph system is removed or damaged. This could be managed with our Enraf Nonius ENDOPRESS 442 for complete decongestive therapy.
