A contact lens examination is an extra set of procedures which must be completed yearly in addition to the eye health examination. These procedures ensure that your eyes remain healthy so that you may continue a lifetime of contact lens wear. During this part of your examination your doctor will perform a separate set of tests designed to assess the prescription and accurate fit of your contact lenses. This is in addition to monitoring the health of your eyes due to the added stress of contact lens wear.
