The special care baby unit is a sub-specialty of paediatrics, which focuses on the medical needs of newborn babies. The special care baby unit is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, to care for premature babies and new-borns with complex medical problems.

They have trained neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners, advanced practice nurses, staff nurses and other health-care specialists that provide around-the-clock treatment for newborns, using the most up-to-the-minute medical therapies and technologies.
